The damaged cables have now been repaired and can confirm customer connections have remained stable since last night. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Our supplier has advised that their Major Incident Team have identified the cause of the incident to be damage to the fibre caused by ongoing civil works in the area. Their engineers are currently on-site preparing to replace the damaged cable, with cabling and splicing teams due to arrive on-site at 15:00. According to them the next update at will be at approximately 17:00.
One of our city centre network providers is reporting an issue affecting a small number of circuits, affecting our customers.
We are currently investigating this and hope to have the issue fixed shortly.
